Yahoo Messenger is one of the premier instant messaging platforms in the world. And it continues to update for better access and use to the users worldwide.
They have added a new feature in every Yahoo Messenger chat window where in the bottom part will show news updates on the place where you are in. For example, I'm from the Philippines, so the news that only cover the Philippines. When you hover on the link below, you'll see a summary of the news but when you like to read t he more detailed version, then click the link to go to the Yahoo! News page featuring that particular news.
This is a good feature that will make us aware of the things/events that are happening in our place. I think that this is also a good way of driving traffic to Yahoo! News as to bring Yahoo! to the 2nd most visited site spot.
